Dan : It was a little difficult to understand as all the emails and texts were in French so I had to translate everything. One bar in my shortlist wasn't informed about the cancellation when I booked with someone else, so they called me to check on the booking. Otherwise seemed like a good service and fairly user friendly (language difference aside). Would be good to have more photos (especially showing the venue both empty and busy). And a clearer definition on what type of space is offered.
Ariadne : I had a lot of problems with the YouShould app. To begin with, I successfully booked a table for the 12/10/19, and gave my deposit. However I later received a text that read “you’ve successfully booked a bar for the 10/11/19, which was absolutely wrong. Upon login in the website again to make sure I had booked the right day, I realized that it was just their text that was wrong, thankfully. Now the YouShould venue promised a deal with : a bottle of wine and a platter of cheese for 14,95, which was one of the reasons we decided upon that specific bar. But when we arrived we were informed that the deal didn’t exist. I don’t know if it’s the bars fault or the websites, but that is false advertisement. Finally, as I was on my way for my reservation at 20:00, because of traffic I run the danger of arriving at 20:05, and I wanted to make sure the reservation wouldn’t suffer. YouShould had sent me a contact number to call in need, and so I did, but the number didn’t exist. Over all, the YouShould website seems a mess at organizing itself.

Rachel Griffiths : The Youshould team download ticket showed the wrong bar and sent half of our guests to Foundation bar instead. This caused a bit of a drama trying to get the guests to the venue before the Birthday girl showed up for the big surprise! Also the photographs look a lot nicer than the decor that we got to see! I was expecting an area like the bathroom room or the chill out lounge, with access to the party area however we had the booth next to the bar. Wasn't quite suitable for my friends 60th Birthday, as it was more grunge than boutique. We had a great time though.

Joanna : Hi! YouShould were great and I really appreciated the service I received, including the reminder texts and emails. Thank you!! I wanted to mention one or two things about Mabels that I didn't want to say in the public review (not in to online slating of businesses, and some things are just out of people's control) but... there is a weird smell when you enter the bar, basically it smells quite strongly of urine when you go towards the back bar/stairs area. I'm sure it's something they are aware of but it is obviously not ideal! The other thing, which is probably more relevant to YouShould , is that the designated area for my party wasn't big enough for the number of guests that I booked for. We had a nook in the back of the venue (to the right) with a large table (6 chairs) and one other 2 seater table. While we had the use of the bar in that area , which was great as it was almost like a private bar for us for the evening, I did feel like for 30 people it was quite squashed and there was nowhere for my guests to sit down. It was also incredibly hot and some people were quite uncomfortable and had to go outside, which was not ideal. There were other much more spacious areas in the bar with a lot less guests. I feel as though whoever manages the space allocations in Mabels could have done a little better as I filled the area and more. Obviously not you guys' fault at all but i did think it worth mentioning as if I were to visit Mabel's again I would definitely want to confirm the space was sizeable enough. Other than that I can't criticise as the staff were really helpful and attentive, as I said above, but the bars were all definitely understaffed so drinks took super long (I know they were cocktails mostly but 20+ mins queuing is a lot) so they were under a lot of pressure. 1 bartender per area, especially the particularly busy ones is probably not enough in peak. I know this is quite a lot more detail than needed but I'm sure it's useful for you to get a good idea of the venues you're working with. Anyway guys I had a great time and so did all of my guests, and I'll definitely return to Mabel's, and recommend it for appropriate events, and I will definitely recommend they book it through YouShould. The service received from you was really personal and attentive, thank you again xx

I have no issue with Bar Soho, they did their best to accommodate us but you shouldn't have recommended them to us. My understanding is that your service is to recommend suitable bars and you failed miserably at that, sorry to be so blunt but I am extremely disappointed in your service. I also specifically asked for drinks tokens and these weren't arranged in advance. Bar Soho were willing to arrange drinks tokens but this had not been passed on to them before we arrive. I do not know if there is anyway that you can rectify the situation but as it currently stands I will not be recommending your service. I am aware that mistakes can be made and perhaps a new member of team was involved with my request, as such I am open to changing my mind about your services but this would require an explanation from you and compensation. I hope you understand. I am happy to discuss this in more detail as I firmly believe in constructive criticism for improving services.

Youshould don't deserve your commission for this, and your very lucky the bar were so good about it ! I'd only use your site to find places now not to book - terrible!

There seemed to be a complete disconnect between the people i spoke to when I made the arrangements and the staff who were there on the evening. I had a good feeling with the Shutterbug bar and Tom directly offered his help and advices, so I can be sure it was the right call for my birthday party. He answered my questions and then, I was ready to book the spot. After that, he maintained contact so I was aware of the booking confirmation and other details. So it was perfect.

Agata : The only thing I feel I need to highlight is that we booked an area identified as "terrace", so we were expecting to be seated in a real terrace, like a patio or a private spot outdoor. Whereas the space allocated to us was the area in front of the main entrance, literally on the main road. I was expecting a private or semi-private spot. I believe that when describing the outdoor area, the venue should change the name "terrace" to something else as it might be misleading and confusing. Many thanks!

Also, there was a bit of a misunderstanding with the deposit. You advised to call the bar and give them my credit card details when in fact they didnt require a deposit.
